Fractions - Wholey Cow
Mrs Dijkstra read us a maths book entitled " Wholey Cow" We took some ideas from the book. We coloured ice creams and wrote a question eg: What fraction of ice-cream number one is coloured Chocolate chip? What fraction of the butterflies are coloured pink?
Celebrations
As part of our Inquiry about Celebrations we have researched the above questions and compared what features are the same, what features are different between Diwali and Chinese New Year. We also made Rangoli patterns which made our room very colourful.
Birthday cakes
As part of our Inquiry we designed and made a birthday cake using coloured paper. Some of them look good enough to eat.

Mrs Dijkstra was inspired by Room 13's shape pictures. So Room 24 used shapes to create a symmetrical design on our butterflies. We think they look beautiful!
