Mrs Dijkstra was inspired by Room 13's shape pictures. So Room 24 used shapes to create a symmetrical design on our butterflies. We think they look beautiful!

What happens to the water when our washing dries?

We used fabric felts to colour in our clothes. We then used our drink bottle to wash our clothes and then hung them up to dry. We look forward to seeing if our washing dried over the weekend?

Making and Melting Ice

We made ice by pouring water from our drink bottle into a seal it bag. Mrs Dijkstra froze it in the kitchen chest freezer. We then observed what changes had taken place and the effect salt and water had on the ice. We held it in our hands. It made us shiver!

Mini Golf with our Buddy class

Last week Mrs Wallace came up with a fun idea for us to try with our buddy class. It was "Mini Golf"
Each person had two counters and had to flick them into 18 different holes around the room ( much like the old game of Tiddly Winks.)The challenge was that the person with the lowest score was the winner. It was so much fun!!!! Thanks Mrs Wallace, you're a STAR!

Our Newsbook

Room 24 has a News-book. The stories are usually about a shared event or someone's interesting news. This page is about the PTA's Father's Day Breakfast. After reading the story together we discussed aspects like antonyms, synonyms, commas and speech marks. Lastly we answered the inference questions by searching for clues in the text. Poppy and Bree beautifully illustrated the pages.

Room 24 made a card for Father's Day. Inside the text said, "You're one in a Minion" We hope all the Dad's had a special day and enjoyed our cards.
